On 9/11, ‘We held hands’
The kids who could possibly remember anything about 9/11 are in college now. A mom remembers where she and her 4-year-old were when the world stopped turning.
In the late 1980s, I began my journalism career in Evanston, Ill., pounding out newspaper stories on a typewriter. Now I write, edit, blog, pitch and post. But in all my years as a journalist, I’ve learned that even though the methods and mediums of storytelling have changed, the basics haven’t: A few good words and a whole lot of heart.
